Sarah had Letterman’s Number All Along!

October 4, 2009 on 2:31 am | In Culture Scene, National Political | No Comments

Considering revelations about David Letterman, suddenly his almost inexplicable
hatred of Sarah Palin seems quite expalainable. A powerful man who uses his underlings for sex does not respect women. A man who is supposedly committed to the mother of his child, although he hasn’t married her, and cheats on her repeatedly, is not a moral man. Men like that have a clear idea as to what women are “good for” and it is nothing intellectual. Enter someone like Sarah Palin- a strong woman. A woman who would NOT let her boss use her the way Letterman used his employees- a woman with a strong marriage and a strong family- a woman who is open about her strong moral code. A man like Letterman cannot stand such a women. She reminds him of what he is. She makes him uncomfatable. She makes him squirm. Letterman would have us believe his hatred of Palin is political but obviously not.

Palin stated that she did not want her preteen daughter anywhere near David Letterman, a man who would think sex with a young girl was acceptable fodder for jokes, I’ll admit at the time and before we knew what we now do of Letterman. I thought Sarah might have overreacted. Now I see that Sarah Palin is actually quite an astute judge of character. She was totally right about Letterman. Now we all see this powerful man who uses his female employees for sex. We all see this sneering, leering “dirty old man” and we see his nastiness is not an act. Sarah was miles ahead of the rest of us.- sjm

From TV to Congress Hatred Boils, Are they Calling for Violence Against Conservatives?

October 4, 2009 on 2:28 am | In National Political | No Comments

I have been listening to the unbriddled hatred against Republicans and Conservatives expressed by so many, such as Rep. Grayson, leader Pelosi, Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, Chris Matthews, Janene Garofalo, Bill Maher, and others. And if you listen to WHAT they are saying, its not about political disagreement or objections to a political agenda. It’s VERY PERSONAL. Their words are full of venom and hate. I truly fear that these voices may be falling on the ears of those who are not well-balanced. I am worried about the safety of Republicans in Congress. I am worried that this irresponsible, hate-filled rhetoric will put the very lives of conservative leaders and broadcasters like Rush Limbaugh in peril.

Senators, McConnel, DeMint Key in Revealing Hidden Truth of Honduras

October 4, 2009 on 2:21 am | In National Political | No Comments

I have hade an occasional issue with Senator Mitch McConnel’s leadership, but he came through in a big way by asserting his authority to clear the way for the Jim DeMint led fact-finding trip to Honduras. When the Dems and the State Department rfused to let DeMint go to Honduras to uncover the truth they want hidden, McConnel got funding and approval through the Dept. of Defense. This action was key in an issue that is MUCH, MUCH bigger than many realize now. This is the beginning of major firworks.- sjm

Garafalo Includes Bachman in Rant. Congrats Michelle!!

During Garofalo’s recent hate-spewing she mentioned Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Bachman. Way to go, Congresswoman. You must be doing something right!

Garofalo Reveals Herself as Bigot

October 4, 2009 on 2:03 am | In National Political | No Comments

I think you could chart it on a graph you’d see a clear, regular pattern. Whenever things start to look bad for the Pres or one of hi hallmark projects, they whisper into the ears of his eager pets, open the cage doora and let them scampering off to the nearest available microphone. That’s how Janene Garofalo ends up on Mahers little presentation uttering about a tea party like she’d just been at one. White House talking points ringing in her ears, she pulls out the now dog-eared racecard.

Garofalo talked of a “tacit” move to violence by “tea-baggers”. A “tacit” encourement to commit violence? What?? This communication device is as cowardly as Garafolo’s assertion that any opposition to Obama’s ideas his because of his complexion. Anybody could accuse anybody of doing anything tacitly. I could say that I thought Garofalo’s hate-filled rant was tacitly suggesting to viewers that they should kill Rush Limbaugh.
Garafolo accuses the right of racism. I’m not saying there are no racists out there. Out of millions of people there are bound to be a few. However, even an idiot could see how much research into real issues is done by tea-partiers and town hallers. This is substantive not racial. Garafolo’s behavior is the opposite. There is never a dispassionate discussion of issues- there is just mindless, angry hatred of conservatives. It doesn’t matter what kind of person they are, if she thinks they are a conservative, she hates them- seeks to destroythem. It doesn’t matter if they are funny or smart or talented. It doesn’t matter. Her hatred is blind. She represents a new bigotry in our country. I think it is taking the place of racism in America’s conciousness. The puveyors of this new bigotry may not wear white hoods, but they are just as frightening.

Moderate Pawlenty, Schmidt, McCain All Hit Headlines at Once- Coincidence?

October 4, 2009 on 12:59 am | In National Political | No Comments

If you believe that there are coincidences in presidential politics raise your hands. Nope, I didn’t think so. When someone sneezes, it is probaby by design. We have Tim Pawlenty, launching the pinball in his presidential game. He calls himself conservative in certain venues and “center-right” the rest of the time. I think moderate describes him well. When McCain had him number one in the veep seepstakes, we heard a lot from McCain about how moderate Pawlenty would expand the GOP tent. But then in an effort to molify millions of disgusted conservatives, McCain went with Palin. Enter Steve Schmidt, McCain’s Campaign Manager, who shares the headlines with Pawlenty by trashing Sarah Palin, her conservatism and the GOP dare it become Conservative. But wait, there’s more. Also muscling into the headlines, by a strange quirk of timing, is McCain himself, making a statement about the importance of moving the Party away from Conservatism. Meanwhile, the moderate Country-Club-Elites who still have way too much power offer Pawlenty as the GOP’s face to every news outlet known to man. Coincidence? You tell me. And while you’re at it let me know how you think a milktoast moderate will play as a contrast to Obama- AGAIN!- Sheila J. Murphy, Editor

The Scoop on the American Police Force

October 4, 2009 on 12:38 am | In National Political | No Comments

There is a lot of chatter out there about the American Police Force and what is being described as their militia-like takeover of the small Montana town of Hardin. Hardly. As far as we can see, at least at this point, the financially strapped community went into business voluntarilly with the Blackwater-wannabe private security/private investigation/mercenary outfit. It seems that when Hardin’s hopes to utilize their unused, new prison as Gitmo stateside were dashed, American Police Force came to the rescue, negotiating a deal to fill and run the prison and to set up a training facility , as well. If these projects are legitimate and come to fruition, Hardin should net at least 2.6 million a year and have more than 200 new jobs. The jury, unfortunately is still out on this business. Leftie blogs suspect this is a new radical militia. We fear it is a con- about cons if you will. The organizatoion has a web page, but we’re concerned at the lack of any names of executives or personnel listed on the page. One exception to this is Becky Shaw, local news anchor very recently brought on to do PR. There are no specific for clients mentioned for reference and word has it that claims of being retained by the US government cannot be verified. Also of concern is the fact that founder and head honcho, Michael Hiton (probably not his birth name) appears to have an extensive criminal background. Hiton is naturalized and originally comes from Montenegr, which is one of the original six Republics of Yugoslavia and considers itself to be a soverign State. One thing that has people taking note ids that the logo for the AMERICAN Police Force is the official sumbol of Montenegro and very eastern Europen looking. This could be a smart move on the part of Hardin- it could be a con. There is a slim possibility it could be something more subversive- but Hilton’s criminal history indicates that he is all about the money.- sjm

NO Chicago- About Bush? Yes, it Was!

October 2, 2009 on 5:13 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Chicago just lost the Olympics in the most humiliating way. I’m sure by the time this is written, Team Obama will have penned a statement placing the defeat at Bush’s feet. Of course, the White House will say that the hatred generated by Bush has not disappated yet- that it will take longer than anticipated to repair the tarnished national reputation that poor, hapless Obama inherited…

And in a way, they’ll be right. The world fled from the idea of Chicago because of the LACK of Bush. They may have hated the swaggering cowboy- but they respected him. Some even feared him. They trusted him to keep his own country save from terrorists and they trusted him to keep visitors safe within his shores. The IOC may gush at the Obama’s as rock stars, but the anti Chicago sentiment reflects their assesment of Obama as a weak leader building a weak nation. A nation that by 2016 would be totally defenseless against anti western terroism and a city by 2016 then totally overrun by gang violence in the absence of strong law enforcement. Had the swaggering cowboy Bush been at the helm, the IOC would have been much more likely to vote for Chicago and to feel secure in doing so.

CSINY Plot Is a Promo for ObamaCare: Disappointing!

October 2, 2009 on 4:37 pm | In Culture Scene, National Political | No Comments

Law & Order has not been my only disappointment in TV Town. CSI NY relly let me down. I have been a fan of the show and the star and producer Gary Sinese, loyal supporter of American troops. But the other night, what started out as an intriguing plot evolved into an unbelievable sermon for ObamaCare. Give me a break! The guy, who invented the GPS ran out of benefits right in the middle of his treatment for lung cancer and was thrown out without any care. I don’t think that happens. And even if it did, it looked like he would have been eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. But no, he was dying without care at the hands of the horrible American health system. Oh dear- if only we’d had ObamaCare for all, this never would have happened!!!! Imagine that this GPS- inventing genius had enough money to live in a large house using all kinds of really expensive technical equipment to kill with brilliant plans those he blames for his terminal condition- yet he didn’t have enough intelligence to find a medical program that he could enter. He didn’t have enough money to pay for any care himself. He couldn’t use his computer genius in exchange for care at a faciltity- nope- nothing he could do but kill. Right. And even though Sinese’s character gave him a little lecture about contacting his Congressman with healthcare complaints instead of murdering, the manipulative damage was done. Sinese is a disappointment. -sjm
