Amazingly “FailGate” Still Lingers

March 11, 2009 on 12:10 am | In National Political | No Comments

I’m astounded that Rush’s Fail comment continues to make every opinion page- but there it is. If you missed our Roar from the Right last week in the web magazine, we’ll recap: We hope that Obama, The Commander in Chief, succeeds in in maintaing security for our nation at home and abroad. We hope that Obama, The President succeeds in representing us on the world stage with some dignity and integrity.
HOWEVER< we hope that Obama, The Politician, fails at his efforts to advance a leftist, socialistic and Marxist agenda.–sjm

Private Aviation Industry Another Casualty of Obama’s Class Warfare

March 11, 2009 on 12:01 am | In National Political, Nebraska Political | No Comments

It is a manufactured issue- one of many in Obama’s engineered war pitting class against class. He and his gang have thouroughly vilified anyone who travels in a private aircraft. They’ve whipped the middle and lower economic bracket folks into a frenzy of hatred against these selfish, evil air travelers. I don’t join them. I hear stories all the time about the hours and hours of time that commercial air travelers spend sitting, without communication, ventilation, food, water and sometimes the bathroom. I have no respect for any individual with deadlines to meet and the responsibility for an industry who’s health provides employment for tens of thousands and who would waste their time and rishk their efficiency by traveling commercial. But no, the Obama hate-mongers are killing yet another private industry, Duncan Aviation, headquartered in Lincoln, NE, is laying off at least 300 employees nationwide. Just a sign of what is to come-and- as so many things are today- a senseless shame.

They FORGOT to Include Alien Restrictions on Stimulus Jobs?

March 10, 2009 on 8:34 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Oh yeah. Just a little mistake. They had to put this legislation together so quickly that somebody simply forgot to define the tax-payer produced stimulus jobs as being restricted to legal residents of the country. An oversight. Right- and I’m the Queen of England! (If I were I still wouldn’t be treated very nicely at the White House).

No, this was no mistake but another plank in a very clear agenda. By loosening more and more restrictions on illegal residents, the prospect of moving those people into the polling place becomes brighter and brighter. Yep, the basic goal of this “oversight” is to create a large, controllable electorate that will do the bidding of the Democrats and help to put them in power for perpetuity.

Obama Ushers in an Age of Science Unfettered by Morality

March 10, 2009 on 8:33 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I’m beginning to learn how to speak Obamanese. It isn’t easy. The definitions of words are mercurial and seem to mold themselves to any given situation. A case in point- Obama’s discourse on opening the floodgates of embryonic stem cell usage. Between the self-serving slaps at Bush, Obama eloquently discussed the need for science to function without political influence. What does that mean? This is a complex issue that has only caused confusion in political contexts. The ban on federal funding for such usage was born out of investigations into medical ethics and social mores. Oh- now I get it. Obama is using his verbal substitution technique. Whenever he says the word “political” he means “morality”. That’s understandable. The word morality is not a popular one in the White House these days.

My ability to speak Obamanese came in handy, also, when the President, appeared to deny any future for cloning. He said, “…and we will ensure that our government never opens the door to the use of cloning for human reproduction.” On the face I’ll admit that sounds good. Many reputable news sources are boasting headlines that claim Obama has completely shut the door on cloning. Oh, if only they spoke Obamanese. They would not be so ready to make such a determination. He only promised that the government would not open the door, he certainly did not say that government would stop a private entity from opening that door or that the government would not then walk through it. He also delineated cloning as for human reproduction. In Obamanese that means that cloning for other, slightly varied, purposes would be acceptable. Cloning strictly for the intention of pursuing research and not to produce a person, or cloning for the purpose producing organs for transplant and not for the purpose of reproduction to produce a person, would both be acceptable, if the policy is translated from its original language.

In addition to the hocus-pocus of the skillful use of Obamanese, the Obama gang distracted with the manipulative use of disease-stricken people and their families. Unseemly at best- and at its worst- the grossly unfair implication that embryonic stem cell opponents don’t care about their plight and that research was stopped dead in its tracks by the Bush ban. Patently untrue on both counts.

Yes, this is a complex topic. The first step to understanding what’s happening is to learn the slick language of illusion-Obamanese.

The Wikepedia Hypocrisy

March 10, 2009 on 6:52 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Apparently Wikipedia scrubs any negative entries about Barack Obama the moment it appears. Simultaneously, Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia founder, can be see frequently on USA Network spots about “characters” of note. Wales talks about his intention in starting Wikipedia to fight censorship. If I looked up “hypocrisy” in Wikipedia, I wonder what I’d find.

Obama’s Going To Make Nice With the Taliban- You’ve Got to Be Kidding!

March 9, 2009 on 8:14 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Obama’s that obnoxious 15 year old who just got hired to be a bag boy at the supermarket. He’s so smart- so cocky he’s going to show people who’ve worked there for 20 years how its done. That’s how I feel about our foreign policy now. Obama acts as if he were the first person to even think of reaching out to “moderate Taliban”. Most experts doubt that such an animal even exists, Nonetheless, efforts have repeatedly been made by Karsai and other leaders. I can just imagine what they will all be thinking when our punk president swaggers in and puts the eggs and the bread in the bottom of the bag,–sjm

Let’s Hear It for George McGovern!

March 6, 2009 on 10:14 am | In National Political | No Comments

You heard me right. The very liberal and very Democrat George McGovern is showing a lot of courage to oppose his own party and stand against the Employee Freedom of Choice Act. George stands stalwart against this reprehesible bill that will deprive American workers of their right to make a private choice concerning unionization. McGovern’s actions remind me that their are Democrats with whom I may disagree but for whom I can have much respect. They’re out there- sadly not to many in the White House right now.

Pettiness Unbecoming on Letterman

March 6, 2009 on 10:09 am | In Culture Scene, National Political | No Comments

Something horrible happened to me last night. I got off the phone and discovered that the David Letterman Show was on. He was belittling Rush Limbaugh’s clothing, appearance, etc. at his CPAC speech, saying he looked like a member of the Russian Mafia. It was petty- and a little hard to take from a guy who makes Andy Rooney look young and pleasant!

One of Their Worst Scams!

March 6, 2009 on 10:02 am | In National Political | No Comments

A lot of rather despicable things are happening in Washington right now. But one of the lowest and nerviest scams to come of the Obama gang is the linking of their radical environmental agenda to saving the economy. Some liberals are just misguided but this reaches a level of dishonesty that cannot be rationalized. These people are putting humanity at the bottom of the food chain and its about time they heard some angry protests- from us!

Defend the Electoral College

March 6, 2009 on 12:57 am | In Iowa Political, National Political | No Comments

We hope the measure that would in effect eliminate the Electoral College goes down to defeat in Iowa- and then in every other state where contested. A lot is said about this issue. but the bedrock is that the Electoral College is the only thing that guarantees a voice in the process for rural and less populated states. Without it, candidates need only pander to a handful of urban centers for enough popular vote to win. No small state would be campaigned in- or even matter before or after election day.
