Placing the economy blame on THE OBAMA

What the McCain-Palin Campaign needs is one clear, focused, powerful statement that can be employed universally and often- right now to put the skids on the dem/media effort of blaming Mac for economic woes. With wild welfarestate spending, Obama and company spent us right into this mess. It will take a couple of mavericks to clean it up. Your thoughts?

Palin Shakes Things Up in Our own Back Yard

Palin brought her own, unique brand campaign communication to the Midwest yesterday. We listened carefully to post motems. Some saidit was redundant- a repeat of her standard stump- not substantive. Well- right you are! It was a rally not an examination before the doctoral board. She held a spotlight on the Ayes Affair. She rallied the troops. She filled us all with resolve and fire! Job well done.

Make Room for Biden’s Head on the Trophy Wall!

Gwen Ifill did resist aiming a lot of “gotcha” questions at Palin but to make up for it she did somehow engineer the last word for Biden most of the time and even took him by the hand here and there when he got lost. But, alas, it was all for naught. Palin kept at it and brought the debate home like a moose trophy for over the mantle!

Obama-Biden Iran Policy “Pie-in-the-Sky”

October 3, 2008 on 5:37 am | In National Political | 3 Comments

In tonight’s debate, Biden kept saying we must change our failed policy toward Iran. But he never said specifically how, except to say we must talk to them directly. For many years multi-national talks by our allies have been taking place. These countries have ongoing political and economic relations with Iran. This should give them much greater leverage in such talks than we’d have, but no luck. Iran’s economy is in the tank. Still, they cause trouble. Obama and Biden claim that by the sheer force of their persusive personalities and through talk they can change Iran’s policy where others have failed. Obama said early on that he would meet with Iran’s Hitler-wannabe without preconditions. Now his campaign is parsing words and running away from his wreckless statement. They say now they may not even meet with Ahmadinejad because the true power is with the mullahs, even though Ahmadinejad is the face of the regime. Is this the way to start a negotiation by dishing the supposedly elected president of Iran? I like dishing him but it does not fit Biden’s and Obam’s stated goals. It is just a way to deflect criticism from Obama’s naive and dangerous statements. This brings us back to their policy. Talking to Iran doesn’t seem to have done much. Would these two be willing to buck Russia and China if they had to in order to take more forceful actions? I doubt it because it might make us unpopular and if anything these guys want to be It is globally popular- no matter what. Our options with regard to Iran have always been limited and dangerous. There are a lot of people in Iran who do not like the path their country is following but they have no say. My hope is this will change but I have no faith that talk. alone, will change this. I would like some specifics instead of just partisan rhetoric from Biden and Obama or at least some moderator or journalist followup on their nebulous policy.

Obama Hit Squad?

October 1, 2008 on 6:59 pm | In National Political | 1 Comment

Recently Dem. Congressman Alcee Hastings of Fl. implied that Jews and Blacks were in danger from Sarah Palin becasue she “totes a gun and strips moose”. Sitting next to him was Dem. Rep. Steven Cohen of TN. He’s the guy that made the “Jesus was a Community organizer but Pilate was a governor” crack. Isolated incidents- or a glimpse of an official and organized hit squad?
