With Obama Fairness Doctrine a Certainty

October 23, 2008 on 8:41 pm | In National Political | No Comments

The Fairness Doctrine and the selection of Supreme Court Justices are two very important issues that are interrelated. One only has to listen to conservative commentators like Rush, Hannity and Ingraham to know this is a real threat. But others like O’Reilly dismiss the institution of censorship like the Fairness Doctrine by an Obama Administration, saying that it won’t happen. O’Reilly says that even if it did happen, it wouldn’t last because he will lead a demonstration on Washington. But if democrats get firm control of the legislative and Executive branches why would they protect an industry which they view as a threat to their power. One could then say it is against free speech. But the next President will probably name a controlling majority on the Supreme Court & Court of Appeals. Obama has already signaled that he’ll name ultra liberals to the court (alla the 9th circuit in CA) who will do what they feel is best even if it is against the constitution. The court has already limited free speech with the current campaign finance laws. All they would have to say is that the conservative speech is “hate speech and hurts segments of the society and is thus detrimental to society. What recourse do the people have then? O’Reilly can hold his demonstration but will it even be covered by the establishment media? nity, Laura Ingraham,

Biden KNOWS Obama Will Be Tested

October 22, 2008 on 3:27 pm | In National Political | 3 Comments

I have as much fun with the befuddled Biden as anybody, but I think he was being completely honest when he talked about the certainty of an international crisis early in an Obama term. I’m sure it will happen, too, because it has already been planned- completely set up. One of the foreign powers that hate America but support Obama will threaten us- as rehearsed. Obama will respond with diplomacy ONLY, as planned. (This is why Biden knows that people will initially be upset by Obama’s reaction) But then, as choreographed, the foreign power/Obama buddy will back down. Obama will be praised worldwide for proving that diplomacy works and military action is not needed. On the crest of this- Obama will make a massive cut of our military and will combine what’s left with his volunteer service program. Oh yeah, it’s all planned. They probably told ol’ Joe Biden to prepare the people for this AFTER the election- but- did I mention he tends to be a little befuddled?

RINO Powell makes his Obama support public- Anybody Surprised?

I’ve always marveled at Colin Powell’s claim to be a Republican. More often than not- he hasn’t seen things the GOP way- being a “moderate” to the extent that I couldn’t really tell you what his ideology might be. The GOP label did serve his career well- as did being in the military. Yet, he has not always taken the positions that would necessarily strengthen the military. Moderating that, as well, I suppose.

Powell has always been a bit of a prima donna. He does not handle it well when his views are opposed. Like Hagel, Lugar, and the like, Powell is a charter member of the GOP Revenge Club. These guys are not only in disbelief that their anti-war attitudes did not rule White House policy, they can’t believe the President forgot to kiss their rings. So…

Powell signs on to Camp Obama. Barrack has flattered him up one side and down the other. Poor General Powell. He thinks he knows politics but he’s got a rude awakening ahead of him. He will be astounded to see how quickly the Soros-Obama machine can kick an old soldier to the curb once they are done with him.

Noonan Screws Conservatives Again!!!

October 18, 2008 on 10:48 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Who knows why Peggy Noonan feels she must jump in with the bloodthirsty media to continue the effort to destroy Sarah Palin. When I wrote my article for THE COOL CONSERVATIVE, I cared a little as to WHY Noonan was helping Obama. Probably, she is pouting because her pal, Kay Bailey Hutchinson was passed over and Noon’s opinion that it should be her was insignificant. Whatever. What I care about now is that Peggy Noonan grows up and shuts up. I just hope that she, David Brooks and the rest of the conservative Benedict Arnolds will spare us their precious pearls of wisdom until November 5th.

Odinga Is Overlooked but Maybe Obama’s Worst Association

October 18, 2008 on 10:40 pm | In National Political | 1 Comment

While we are all mesmerized by Ayers, Wright and ACORN, we may be overlooking Obama’s support for radical Muslim leader Raila Odinga of Kenya. Odinga has publicly committed to an extremely pro jihad agenda and reportedly received One Million Bucks from The Friends of Obama…

Thanks UNL for Cancelling Ayers

October 18, 2008 on 10:32 pm | In National Political | No Comments

As an alum of UNL, I’m relieved and grateful that the University withdrew its invitation to Bomber Bill Ayers. However the fact that leaders that thought it was a good idea is alarming. It shows how out of touch they are with Nebraskans and indicates what they think should be taught. Now, I’d like to see some resignations.

Ayers Gifted Bomb-building Instructor

October 17, 2008 on 4:08 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Clearly William Ayers is a gifted teacher. Not just anybody would have the skill to show a group of young people how to make a nail bomb. It must have taken all of Ayers’ powers of persuasion and articulate communication to instruct Ted Gold, Terry Robbins, and his girlfriend Dianna Oughton to make a nail bomb to place in the hall where an Army NCO Dance was to be held. It showed his remarkable attention to detail that he told his students to construct the bomb so that as many soldiers as possible would be killed. The fact that the bomb blew up in the faces of the 3 young bomb-makers, killing them during its building does not diminish the enormous talent that Ayers displayed even then as an educator. No wonder the University of Nebraska is anxious to feature him as the centerpiece of the 100th Anniversary ceremony for their education department!

McCain and Joe the Plumber Are Debate’s Big Winners!

October 16, 2008 on 4:07 am | In National Political | No Comments

As much as I may have wished it- Obama did not fall on his face. However, he did not have his best night- a little on the defensive- a little off the mark. McCain was aggressive, sharper and although not perfect, much improved in the return of a volley. Obama played his class warfare card as usual, but McCain and his sidekick Joe the Plumber fought back.

Clearly, the pundit parade has declared Obama the winner. We humbly disagree. McCain did a good job and in fact, was the winner. Even if Obama had failed to show up tonight, he’d have been hailed as the winner according to the stilted formula the media has put in place. And speaking of mealy-mouthed pundits, I’ve had it with Bill Kristol. He’s been using every possible avenue to force McCain down our throats since 2000. He’s used FOX to bring his dream to fruition. Now that the campaign is shuting him out, his has nothing but criticism for McCain. Put a sock in it, Bill. You have moved beyond any kind of objectivity- now you are only helping Obama. And believe me, neither your little magazine nor Fox News will not fare well under the foot of a dissident-squelching Obama regime. No, it doesn’t matter what all the talking heads tell me I just saw. I know what I saw: a McCain victory.

Debate Reflections

October 8, 2008 on 4:41 am | In National Political | 1 Comment

All the pundits are hauling out their hammers to put another nail in the McCain-Palin coffin. They say that although McCain did well- and may even have won on substance- the fact that he failed to hit a homerun equals a loss. Oh PALEEZE! I’ve seen McCain better- but no undecided will count him out based on this. As usual. Obama was smooth with a penchant to say what others want to hear and a tendency toward smug glibness. McCain did not answer every attack directly BUT- he is improved in this area. He needs to find a way to communicate things like his healthcare plan in a way an earthling can understand. On the upside- McCain did establish himself as reliable- someone upon whom we can depend to rise above political games and to deal with foreign powers in a resolute but diplomatic fashion. Noonan: Get a Clue

October 6, 2008 on 6:59 pm | In National Political | 1 Comment

Peggy Noonan seems to be looking down her elite little nose at Palin of late. What’s going on? Are her feathers ruffled at all the comparisons to her former boss, Ronald Reagan? She has been highly critical of Palin’s lack of seriousness and lack of gravitas? That’s like criticising a rosebud for not being as big as the old blooms. Come on, Noonan. Gravitas will come for her as it does for everyone- with experience and time. Palin will always speak with exhuberance. That’s her nature. That no more indicates a failure to take issues seriously, than Ronald Reagan’s penchant for intertwining humor did. Or- did Noonan get turned turn for a gig as somebody’s speechwriter?
