Debates Are A Groaner

Well it was presidential debate night but it seemed more like fight night. Tom Brokaw...although at times lost control of the debate I thought did a good job in getting to the heart of the questions and not taking sides. I felt there were two winners...Obama won for being "Mr. Smooth" but McCain won on "substances". They probably will not take my suggestion,,,but I would love to see the format of the meetings between the two candidates changed(Obama wants change right?) from a debate to a forum. Each candidate asked the same question and given a certain amount of time to present their position, platform or how they intend to deal with the issue that was brought up in the question. They are only allowed to talk position...in the allocted time they are not given the opportunity to mention their opponent. That way we get to the heart of the matter without any finger pointing. In addition it would be good for the candidates to remember the old addage that "if you point a finger at someone...four are pointing back at you".
