Obama/Left Fail to Understand Space

January 30, 2010 on 1:59 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

The liberals in charge can only say one thing: green. Green, green. Everything has to be green. The same bozos are pushing for the space program to be shelved. How stupid is that? They say that EVERY effort must be made to save this planet. The way to really do that probably lies on the moon and other planets. We can find minerals, other sources of energy. We can store waste there. We could colonize. But no. We have to buy special lightbulbs instead.

State of the Union and Our Long, Long Evening with a Pathalogical Liar

January 30, 2010 on 1:43 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I took notes during the speech. I started listing the lies and the misrepresentations. So many. Suddenly I realized that it was almost a waste of time to discuss them. Why bother? Whatever Obama said that day, he’d probably contradict on any other day. He might reverse or modify any statement- any time- to fit situation and audience. I realized that this man is totally goal-oriented and completely without scrupples in his willingness to say anything to real said goals.

It is sad, and infuriating and frustrating. How to you debate with a pathalogical liar ? You may as well try and catch the wind.- sjm

This Is Not the Time, Orin

January 30, 2010 on 1:35 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

Orin Hatch has been crying out for a federal fix on what he considers the inequitable BCS, college football bowl system for a long time. Again he is demanding a Justice Department investigation and examination into the application of anti-trust laws. I love football as much as the next girl- but for cryin’ out loud Hatch! What the hell are you thinking? Our nation is in extraordinary peril from enemies without and under a trendous threat from socialistic and totalitarian factions with in our own government. Yet as our country teeters on extinction, Orin Hatch thinks we should waste time and attention on this! I believe this sort of thing confirms the public perception that Senators and Congressmen are so caught up their little DC world that they do not know the ship is sinking!- sjm

The Guilty Cannot Watch

January 30, 2010 on 1:23 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

It is amazing to see the fuss that so many “women’s” organizations are making about the Focus on the Family Super Bowl ad featuring Tim Tebow and Mom. I can only think that people who carelessly discarded their babies cannot stand the story of Tebow’s survival. I think there is a lot of guilt at work. These people can’t tolerate anyone or anything that humanizes the little bundles of inconvenience they threw in the waste basket.

Obama’s Faulty Memory

January 30, 2010 on 1:17 pm | In National Political | No Comments

Obama loves to blame Bush. I’m trying to get used to it but when he tries to hid his irresponsible spending behind Bush- it is more than I can stand. When Obama talks about Bush spending he forgets to mention 911. He forgets how badly damaged our economy was. He doesn’t have the class to acknowlede how Bush pulled this nation back from the brink ten. He forgets abiout the sincredible spending burden that Katrina was. He acts as if addressing global terrorism with military action was completely unnecessary- just an irresponsible whim. This Omnesia will surely continue. If Obama were ever to remember reality- he wouldn’t be able to blame Bush anymore.- sjm

Death Penalty in Kansas

January 30, 2010 on 1:04 pm | In Culture Scene, National Political | No Comments

I am solidly pro-life but I also believe that there are times when the death penalty is called for to protect the public. I think Scott Roeder shoiuld have gotten the penalty not just for the cold-blooded execution of Dr, Tiller the Baby Killer (must admit he was evil) but also because someone so willing to disregard the law with no remorse such as Roeder is a danger. He won’t get the death penalty though. In Kansas only fetuses get the death sentence.

Obama: O-Blame-A!

November 24, 2009 on 2:54 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

Did you notice that the President recently said That he won’t rest until BUSINESSES do their part- until BUSINESSES start hiring people- until BUSINESSES trust the economy… In other words, he won’t rest until all economic blame is shifted from him to America’s businesses- even as he is systematically dismantling.

Will it Be AMBASSADOR Nelson?

November 23, 2009 on 4:55 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

The Devil Came Down to DC and many soul hath been bartered away… For some it took armtwisting: “Play Ball with Harry Reid or you’ll never be re-elected” For some promises: “We’ll make SURE you are re-elected or we’ll get a gold-plated pork barrell worth hundreds of millions for your state.” For Ben Nelson, it may have been the promise of a professional future- at least that is what we are hearing. Apparently there are rumblings that because playing ball with his fellow Democrats could result in his political suicide for Nelson, he’ll be rewarded with a nice job in the Administration- something in a Czarship or Cabinet post but most likely an Ambassadorship.- sjm

Scary Scenario: Nuclear Attack on US City

November 23, 2009 on 4:33 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I saw a documentary called “Day After Disaster”. It was about the major security threat of terrorists attacking Washington DC woth a nuclear suitcase bomb. The film concentrated on response to the event. They stated that there would be an automatic assumptionthat there was a second bomb and a major goal would be to find it.

All I could see were our intelligence people mirandizing culprits, and asking them the most benign questions in the presence of their ACLU lawyers… This documentary had great effects and the dramatized death and destruction was incredible, but nothing was more frightenening than the thought of how how Houlder and Obama are rendering us defenseless against our enemies

Patrick Kennedy Denied Communion

November 23, 2009 on 4:22 pm | In Culture Scene, National Political | No Comments

Rep. Patrick Kennedy wa urged by his Bishop not to take Communion because of Kennedy’s very public support of abortion, a practice that is clearly opposed in Catholic Church Doctrine. Defenders of Kennedy say that the Bishop should not have castigated the son of the late Ted Kennedy in public. Others say his stands in the Congress should impact his personal, religious life. I say BS to both.

Kennedy was not forced into public life, he sought it aggressively. He’s not some littlebookkeeper who whispered his support of abortion to some friend and then finds himself in front of the congregation. Patrick Kennedy expended alot of money, effort and power to ensure that his opinions and statements would be of public interest. We cannot separate our work lives from our moral or spiritual selves. We all express ourselves through our jobs. A mafia hitman cannot go to Church and say that he obeys “Do not Kill” outside of his job. Kennedy cannot draw such a line either. He promotes abortion through his professional actions. He must face the consequences. Good for Bishop Tobin!-sjm
